I love the fall time of the year. I love the how the trees change their colors from green to orange, red, yellow and brown. I love the cool crisp air in the morning. It make me think of a time when I was younger and we would go camping with the Boy Scouts. You would feel the cool air and smell the camp fires starting up to cook breakfast.
It has been a few years since I have been camping but I always keep my equipment up to date because you never know when you might get a chance to go camping or with today’s times you might have to bug out of your comfy living quarters and hit the woods to survive.
I know many of you thought I might tell a long drawn out story about camping. But that’s for another post down the road. Here in this post I just want to give you a list of what you could need for a weekend camping trip. I will also give you some tips and tricks that I have learned over the years.
Here is my short list for a weekend camping trip;
sleeping bag or emergency blankets
lighter and matches
flash light; extra batteries
first aid kit
wash cloth and hand towel
Woe that seems like a lot for a weekend camping trip. Believe me you will need every item on this list and some of them double or triple depending on how many people go.
Now some list have even more items than this list. But that’s alright because some people really like to bring everything along. They would pack the kitchen sink if they could.
Basically though you only need to bare minimum for a weekend camping trip. However, if you go on a longer camping trip you might need these additional items to make your trip a little more comfortable;
Air Bed or cot
Mesh Dunk Bag
Waterproof Bag Set
Biodegradable soap and shampoo
Portable Toilet and bags
Snake Bit Kit
Water Purification tablets
You have the freedom to pick and choose what you want to take with you. Some campers go with the bare minimum and other campers take every thing. But the more you take, the more you have to pack.
I know that there are other websites out there that tell you to take more and sometimes less. But it’s up to you to determine what you need to take on your camping trip.

Most importantly of all and the one thing that needs to be added to the list above is; S’mores. Everyone loves S’mores. So be sure to pack the chocolate, marsh-mellows and graham crackers.
I hope that you find these list and websites helpful when you plan your next camping trip.
